’09 Premier Green Boys Win League, Tournament Crowns

The Severna Park 2009 Premier Green boys soccer team participated in the Virginia Beach FC tournament over Columbus Day weekend and came away with the tournament championship.

Playing in beautiful sunny weather, Severna Park won all four of its games, taking home the championship in the most competitive division. The team’s 11 gifted and team-oriented players are Benjamin Montgomery, Brody Feldmaier, Caden Morris, Carter Moden, Christian D’Amico, Colin McDonald, Collin Denton, Conner Hall, Gavin Cliffe, Liam Kinslow and Alvaro Dominguez-Calix. Severna Park is coached by Andy Moden, Kennedy Cliffe and Larry Denton.

Severna Park’s win in Virginia Beach came on the heels of a successful fall league season win which the 09 Premier Green finished in first place in Division I of the Central Maryland Short-Sided League.

“They are ready and eager to carry on the great tradition of excellence in Severna Park soccer,” said coach Moden. “I have been impressed with the boys commitment and willingness to improve, and it has shown on the field not only with our results but with the high quality of soccer we play.”
