We are excited to announce our newest members of the chamber: About Smiles Dentistry, Hollywood Tans, and Heart and Home Organizing.

November was filled with great events, including our holiday trade fair and Holiday Taste and Sip at Homestead Gardens in Severna Park. The holiday trade fair was held at the Earleigh Heights Fire Department in Severna Park in November, with 48 local businesses participating in the event, which offered food, entertainment and more. The event was sponsored by the Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi, whose students gave us an amazing performance.

The annual Holiday Taste and Sip event was held at the gorgeous Homestead Gardens in Severna Park on November 14. Our event sponsor was the amazing Matt Wyble and the Matt Wyble Team of Champion Realty. Matt is the founder of Taste and Sip, having worked at a restaurant before entering the real estate world. With Matt and his team’s support, we celebrated our ninth year of the event. We also want to thank Homestead Gardens for providing its beautiful facility, and our numerous Bronze sponsors: Kogen Dojo, Chesapeake Think Tank, Cherry Family Dental, AT&T, Melanie Wood, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Brokerage, Southern Trust Mortgage and About Smiles Dentistry. We had the best food and drinks ever thanks to our vendors: Adam’s Taphouse, Be My Guest Caterers, Blue Crab Cupcakes, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, Café Bretton, Café Mezzanote, Cakes and Confections, Capiche, Firehouse Subs, Fishpaws Marketplace, Garry’s Grill, Goska’s Liquors, Harbor Spirits, Honey Baked Ham, Kirsten’s Cakery, La Posta, Lisa’s Cake Pops, Magothy Wine and Spirits, Main and Market, Park Deli, Park Tavern, Pascal’s Chop House, Pure Vida Taco, Sofi’s Crepes, and Two Rivers Steak & Fish House.

Thanks to the many donors who provided many wonderful things for our silent auction table. Thanks to Spring Arbor for the shuttle service to and from Woods Church, and thanks to Woods Church for allowing us to use the parking. Thanks to our entertainers, which include Jeff Harding on the keyboard, Chesapeake Harmony Chorus, and the wonderful Severna Park High School chorus.

We started the month of December with our annual holiday tree lighting on December 7 at the chamber location. We had entertainment, refreshments and an open house. Sponsors were Wright Orthodontists, Severn Bank, Pam Negron of Farmers Insurance, Trinity Bible Church, Chick-fil-A, and the Law Offices of Elmore and Throop.

Please join us and continue the growth and prosperity that our community enjoys.
