The “Cherish Nature” photography art exhibit by Emily Carter Mitchell will be on display May 3 – 30, 2019. Located at the National Wildlife Visitors Center at the Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract. 10901 Scarlet Tanager Loop, Laurel, MD 20708-4027. Phone: 301-497-5760. Entry is free for the Hollingsworth Gallery and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Thursdays. Meet-the-Artist reception on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Cherish Nature” is a photographic journey through several Mid-Atlantic Wildlife refuge systems that showcases natural habitats, avian migrations and portrays wildlife conservation successes and ongoing efforts. It emphasizes the importance of the National Wildlife Refuge system’s mission of “Conserving the Nature of America” for future generations.

Emily Carter Mitchell is an award winning and published nature and wildlife photographer based in Annapolis, Maryland. Through her work Nature as Art she brings a creative interpretation of the natural world and her images have express serenity with a sense of stillness and ethereal attributes.
