Cody St. John's Heart Recipient To Entertain At "Cody's 5th Annual Crab Feast"

Posted

On September 17, the Cody St. John Foundation will host their fifth annual “Cody’s Crab Feast,” from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cedarwood Cove Recreation Area.

The foundation is a non-profit charity organization formed in memory of Cody St. John, a 1995 graduate of Chesapeake High School who went on to pursue professional ski patrol in Colorado and achieved award-winning success. St. John was killed in a car accident in 2007 on his way to his nursing orientation at the University of Wyoming in 2007. In his memory, the Cody St. John Foundation raises money to provide scholarships to qualified ski patrollers wishing to advance their medical education; it also promotes public awareness of the importance of organ donation, and hosts various fundraising events across the country.

This year’s Crab Feast menu will feature fresh steam crabs, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage with peppers & onions, salads, desserts, soda, and beer. In addition, there will be crab races, various sporting events, and raffles. “The Cooking for Cody” Cookbook, “Cody T-shirts” and “Cody Eco-friendly Shopping Bags” will also be for sale.

Entertainment will be provided by local Pasadena band “The Turn,” featuring performances by David Freshman, Cody’s heart recipient.
