Jing Ying Donates To Alzheimer’s Association

Posted

Following a first year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi – which claimed the title of top fundraiser in Anne Arundel County – was happy to have Dawn Lewis (second from right), development and community relations coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Maryland Chapter, attend the martial arts center’s Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, February 24, when owners Billy Greer and Nancy Greer (left) presented Lewis with a check for $11,006. They were joined for the check presentation by Nancy’s sister, Gail Mangano, and father, Glenn Willard. Just days before the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Greers had attended the memorial service for Nancy’s mother, who passed away from this devastating illness. The Jing Ying team has been tracking its fundraising efforts for Alzheimer’s in memory of Nancy’s mother with the hashtag #ForCora.
