Do you like to swim, bike and run? Do you like to raise money for a worthy cause? Why not participate in the 10th annual Karen Stevens Memorial Kid’s Triathlon at the Severna Park Community Center on Saturday, September 21. All proceeds from the event will help provide free swim lessons for children with special needs.
Each course takes place at the Severna Park Community Center pool and the B&A Trail. The triathlon can be completed individually or by teams of two or three people. Approximate distances are as follows:
10 and Under
• Swim - 200 yards (eight lengths)
• Bike – 2 miles
• Run – 3/4 mile
11–14 years old
• Swim - 400 yards (16 lengths)
• Bike – 4 miles
• Run – 1 1/2 miles
Junior Tri-IT!
• Swim – Four lengths of therapy pool
• Bike – 1/8 mile (Severna Park Community grounds)
• Run – 1/10 mile (Severna Park Community grounds)
Registration closes September 19. On September 21, race check-in begins at 7:00am and the race begins at 7:30am. The Junior Tri-It starts at 8:30am. For more information, search for “Karen Stevens Memorial Kids Triathlon” on www.active.com.
