Mike Price Named SPHS Falcons Head Football Coach

Mike Price will be taking the helm as head football coach for the Severna Park High School Falcons, effective immediately.  When the announcement was made on July 6, nobody was more pleased than Price.  "After many years of coaching youth and high school football, I've always wanted to be a head coach, and the head coaching job at Severna Park was specifically what I wanted," explained Price.  "When the job came available I was very happy to put my name in the hat," he concluded.

Price was an assistant coach for the Falcons for seven years, most recently serving as Offensive Coordinator.  Before coaching the Falcons, he volunteered for many years as a youth football coach.  Price lives in the Severna Park area and is a pilot for American Airlines.  His wife, Cynthia, is the Fitness Manager at Severna Park Racquet and Fitness Center, and his two children, Samantha and Sean, are both graduates of SPHS.  Samantha now works at Hospice of the Chesapeake, and Sean plays lacrosse for the Naval Academy and just completed his plebe year.

Cynthia Price is very excited about her husband's new position.  "Ever since I've known Mike, one of his dreams has been to be a high school head football coach -- he has a passion for football -- I'm very proud of him," she stated.
