Severna Park pounded out 10 runs on 12 hits in support of pitchers Marissa Heuer and Kylie Dingess to earn the victory. Campbell Kline was 4 for 4 with three RBIs and four runs scored, Jessie Smith was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Heuer was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Emma Hall was 1 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored, Emily Summers had an RBI and scored a run, Madison Gerrard was 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Emily Gabbard and Emily Wilson added hits and runs scored.

Heuer pitched four innings of no-hit ball and struck out eight just two days after earning two wins in 14 total innings during Monday’s region doubleheader. Dingess came on to finish the game and pitched the fifth inning to seal the deal and send Severna Park to its first state final since 2003.

Kline extended her own single-season state record for hits to 67. She broke the previous record of 59 hits with her first hit on Monday during the Falcons’ win over Glen Burnie.

The Falcons are 24-2 overall and have won 16 straight games. They will face Northwest in the 4A state championship game at 3:30 on Saturday at the University of Maryland.

Tickets to the state final can be purchased online in advance for $10.
