Shop Local Festival Benefits Local Charities

At the annual Shop Local Festival put on by the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce, the event’s gold sponsors had the opportunity to present a portion of their sponsorship – $500, to be precise – to the beneficiary of their choice. Kogen Dojo gave to Burgers & Bands for Suicide Prevention, SERVPRO of Annapolis and Severna Park gave to SPAN, the Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi gave to SPAN, Opportunity Builders Inc. gave to Repke Fitness, and Chesapeake K-9 Funds gave to Cedar Square Homes. The donations were part of the festival’s mission of celebrating everything local businesses do for the communities where they operate.
