SP U8 Girls Win Summer Cup In Crownsville

The Severna Park Premier Green 2010 girls soccer team completed its inaugural season with a championship win at the June Cup in Crownsville. Competing up in age against three U9 teams, the U8 girls won all three of their games, scoring a combined 24 goals in the tournament and not allowing a single goal.

Playing in the Central Maryland Soccer Association A/B Division this past spring, the team placed second with a 4-1 record. Last fall, the team placed first in the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association Division 1 U8 league with an undefeated 10-0 record.

Members of the 2017-2018 championship team include Presley Davis, Alice DiAngelo, Ashlyn Ensor, Cate Gage, Charlotte Goheen, Lily Habashi, Ella Hartman, Brynn Houghton, Caroline Mosher, Alex Murray, Khady Sall and Meghal Spencer. The coaching staff comprises Dan Gage, Jen Habashi, Melissa Murray, Brian Ensor and Brian DiAngelo.

The Green Hornets Girls 2010 select soccer program expands to three competitive teams for the 2018-2019 season beginning this fall.
