Sports Update Sept. 11, 2019: SP Soccer Takes Two Vs. Northeast

Girls soccer:

The Severna Park girls soccer team got its county schedule underway on September 10 with a 6-0 defeat of visiting Northeast on goals by Ella Raines, Ellie Lane, Toni Fiocco-Mizer, Lena McLaughlin, Lauren Campbell and Sydney Park and assists by McLaughlin, Maddie Altman, Chloe Nagel and Bella Espinoza. Katie Byrd made four saves, and Mallori Scheimreiff made two saves.

Boys soccer:

The Severna Park boys soccer team defeated Northeast 1-0 on a goal by Gus Bachmann with an assist coming from Evan Blamphin. Ben McLay earned a shutout with two saves. The Falcons celebrated Green Hornets night by inviting their local younger counterparts onto the field for introductions and into the locker room for the pregame talk with coach Ryan Parisi.
