Posted

Every year, Magothy River Association (MRA) President Paul Spadaro and MRA Vice President Dr. Sally Hornor, an AACC biology professor, give an update on the health of the Magothy River. The 14th annual event is set for February 17. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the program will run from 7:00pm to 9:30pm in Room 100 of the CALT Building at Anne Arundel Community College’s Arnold campus.

In addition to sharing results from scientific data collected and evaluated by volunteers and students, Jim Uphoff from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources will talk about yellow perch, and this year’s program will recognize former MRA presidents in honor of the organization’s 70th anniversary. Numerous displays will also be available to view, and refreshments will be served. For more information, follow “Magothy River Association” on Facebook or contact president@magothyriver.org.
