The Voice Media Inc. Announces Video Contest

Attention, student videographers and all Anne Arundel County kids interested in video and media! The Severna Park Voice and Pasadena Voice newspapers are holding a sports video contest for aspiring high school student sports videographers at any high school in Anne Arundel County. The winning submission will receive a $100 gift card. The goal is to combine the talents of athletes in our community with the talents of student videographers. Videos of sports in Severna Park, in Pasadena and throughout the county are encouraged to use music, effects, game action, interviews, highlight plays, humor or any creative elements for maximum entertainment. Videos should be submitted via Dropbox or Google Drive to Larry Sells at now through May 31. We will post all videos and select a winner. Good luck and show us what you got!

Need An Example? Check Out Katie DeFeo

Katie DeFeo (SPHS ’17) was a video intern at the Severna Park Voice while she was in high school and has since gone on to YouTube stardom as a college lacrosse player at University of Southern California. DeFeo’s first foray into video production came while interning at the Severna Park Voice. We are seeking to help the next talented, homegrown student videographer launch their video passion by providing them a platform for their work and access to area athletic events. If you are interested in reaching a wider audience with your videos, this is the perfect opportunity! For inspiration, follow DeFeo’s journey as a college lacrosse player, and check out her previous videos from her early days as a high school sports videographer and video production engineer.
