Woods Church Wins Award For “The Secret Garden”

When Woods Church’s production of “The Secret Garden” ended in mid-March, music director Dave Merrill and his team earned a big accolade: a Theatre Bloomie. The award was designed to celebrate theatrical excellence based on execution of a show, the design and creative elements, and the overall experience. Amanda Gunther (right) presented a TheatreBloom Bloomie to Merrill (left) during the closing night performance on March 17. The production included over 125 people, with 53 main-stage performers, a 17-person orchestra, and dozens of others lending their hands both in the choir and on the production and tech teams.
