A Sweet Success: Oak Hill Students Raise Over $3,600 For Backpack Buddies

Pat Anderson's second-graders at Oak Hill Elementary raised $3,602 for the Services from the Heart-Backpack Buddies program by selling $1 candy grams (candy canes taped to holiday messages) from December 5-9. The class delivered the candy grams to Oak Hill students on December 13.

According to Services from the Heart, the funds will provide 355 weekly food backpacks to children attending three Title 1 schools in Anne Arundel County.
