Both the Broadneck boys and girls lacrosse teams earned decisive victories during the Class 4A region semifinals on Friday night.
The Lady Bruins defeated Annapolis 15-4. With two goals and four assists, Mary Moore led a Broadneck offense that had nine players score. Olivia Orso contributed three goals and an assist, Lexi Dupcak had three goals, and Reagan Baldwin also scored a hat trick.
The Lady Bruins will play South River on Sunday at a time to be announced. The Seahawks are coming off a 19-9 win over Leonardtown.
The Broadneck boys won 18-3 over Annapolis. Max Demella won 16 of 22 faceoffs. The offense was led by Davis Fisher (four goals, three assists), Jake Schroll (three goals, two assists) and Tanner Boone (three goals, one assist). Ryan Salazar and Gregg Bowman added two goals apiece. Kyle Pierce, Ryan Della, Jake Chambers and Carter Orders also scored for Broadneck. Colin Gray had three saves and Matthew Tettemer had one.
On Monday, the Bruins will play South River, which just defeated Leonardtown 21-3.
