Broadneck High School has hired Ackeem Forde to lead the Bruins’ cross country program ahead of the 2023 season, the school announced Tuesday.

Forde replaces Brianna Bostic, who stepped down June 2 after leading the program for 14 seasons.

In a statement released by the school, Forde expressed excitement “to bring his years of experience to Broadneck High School.”

A native of Barbados, Forde ran collegiately at Eastern Michigan, where he was part of an all-American distance medley relay team that placed fifth at the 2010 NCAA Championships. He also was part of Barbados’ 4x100-meter relay entry at the 2013 IAAF World Championships and competed professionally as a sprinter.

The Broadneck cross country season kicks off August 16 with a preseason county meet.
