We held seven ribbon-cutting celebrations in October. The first was the grand opening of two wellness practices’ new office spaces at Perilla Wellness in Arnold. The first, NeuroCentered Wellness, works with microcurrent neurofeedback to help the brain reset, self-regulate and return to a healthier rhythm. The second, Radiant Rowan, provides craniosacral therapy.

Next was the grand opening of Lightbridge Academy in Gambrills. This new daycare facility cares for newborns up to age 5 in an educational and fun environment.

Divine Trinity Hair Salon, LLC opened the doors to a new location in Pasadena. In addition to hair services for women of all cultures, stylists help those suffering from hair loss with customized treatment programs.

The LoveJoy Project moved from Severna Park to Millersville with a celebration, doubling its space and adding many more products. They also host fun classes and coffees.

Sisters Dr. Mikaela Frazier and Dr. Joanna Frazier officially cut the ribbon on their new business, Vantage Point Dental Studio. The practice is health-driven, locally owned, and serves Severna Park, Millersville, Pasadena and surrounding areas.

Finally, we celebrated the Grand Opening of LogoZone Promotions’ first brick-and-mortar location in Severna Park with great food, door prizes and more.

This month’s Successful Women in Business group gathered at Providence of Maryland’s greenhouses for coffee and conversation. The greenhouses focus on wholesale production of true Maryland ecotypes using environmentally friendly practices, while offering seasonal retail sales. They provide employment opportunities for people they support and contribute to environmental restoration, including projects like rebuilding Poplar Island in the Chesapeake Bay.

The Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company hosted a multi-chamber mixer at its facility and treated us to a fascinating presentation on the station’s operations. We learned that the fire company is renowned nationwide and is a model for other companies. We met their board of directors and toured the facility. They are working hard to raise funds to rebuild, and we encourage the community to support them in any way that you can.

Our Shoptoberfest Shop Local Festival was held on October 24 at Park Plaza. We had six Gold Sponsors donate $500 each to their charities of choice: Prime IV Hydration and Wellness, Kitchen Tune-Up, Jimeno & Gray, PA, SERVPRO of Annapolis/Severna Park, Senator Dawn Gile and the Severna Park Elks Lodge. Other sponsors included Kwon’s Taekwondo, Griswold Home Care, Bayrise Builders, Park Modern Realty, Priddy Music Academy, Delegate Heather Bagnall and Atlantic Blue Water Services. Children’s Theatre of Annapolis, Fred Astaire Studios and The Edge Dance Complex provided live entertainment.
