Chesapeake Baysox Summer Schedule Offers Curated Entertainment For All Ages

Posted

The Chesapeake Baysox, a double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles based in Bowie, began their 2025 season in April. Through the end of their season, which wraps up in mid-September, every home game played at Prince George’s Stadium will have something unique to offer in addition to reveling in America’s pastime. Below are many of their upcoming curated activities for fans to enjoy.

FIREWORKS

Postgame firework shows are slated for almost every home game played on a Friday or Saturday through the end of the season. These explosive postgame shows are included in the cost of tickets. On July 4, the Baysox will host a “Red, White and BOOM” celebration for Independence Day.

SUNDAY FAMILY FUN DAYS

These kid-centered home games are played on Sundays at 1:05pm and invite families to enjoy activities before and after the games, including a free kids’ park from noon to 12:30pm, collecting player autographs, and running the bases postgame.

Sunday, June 29: Children ages 3-12 are invited to a pregame autograph session on the field from 11:30am to noon. June 29 will also mark a pre-K graduation celebration and American Legion Day, during which veterans will be honored.

Sunday, July 6: The first Sunday in July, the Baysox will host Severna Park-Arnold Community Day to celebrate the central Anne Arundel communities and some of the local businesses based in the area.

Sunday, July 13: Local police, fire and emergency medical services (EMS) workers will be celebrated during Heroes Day. Following the Baysox game, local police and fire will take the field in a “Guns and Hoses” softball game.

Sunday, August 3: A crab feast is slated for the first Sunday in August, which will also be Faith Day at Prince George’s Stadium. The Baysox anticipate a postgame concert hosted by a local church band.

Sunday, August 17: Taking a break from their “street” to visit the Baysox, a loveable red monster will make a mystery character appearance as the team celebrates Daycare Day.

Sunday, August 24: A highlight of the last Sunday Family Fun Day in August will be a meet the team autograph and photo session with players on the concourse from 11:30am to noon, prior to the game. The Baysox will also celebrate Jewish Heritage Day, including a Dean Kremer T-shirt giveaway for the first 750 fans. Kremer was the first Israeli drafted by an MLB team and is a starting pitcher for the Orioles.

Sunday, September 7: The Baysox will host a Birdland celebration to round out their season – one “last hurrah” to celebrate the future Oriole stars of today.

MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHTS

Military appreciation nights take place during home games played on Tuesdays. During these special events, attendees can receive a $10 box (100 level) or reserved (200 level) seat at the box office with proof of service. Upcoming dates include July 8, July 29, August 12, August 19 and September 2.

WOOF WEDNESDAYS

Baysox fans are invited to bring their canine best friends on Woof Wednesdays, coming up on the evenings of July 9, August 13, August 20 and September 3. All dogs must be leashed and show current tags before entering the stadium gates.

WEEKEND FUN

Baysox fans can also mark their calendars for several unique Friday and Saturday events throughout the remainder of the season. Friday, July 11, will be Mother/Son Night Out, and Daddy/Daughter Date Night is slated for Friday, August 15.

The team’s annual Navy Night will take place on Friday, August 1, when the United States Naval Academy class of 2029 will join the Baysox for a patriotic celebration. Air Force Day will follow on Saturday, August 23.

Kids and kids at heart can interact with dozens of construction, work and emergency vehicles before the game during “Touch a Truck” on Saturday, August 16, which will also be Country Hits Night. And on Saturday, September 6, the Baysox will host their third annual Circus Night featuring performances by aerialists, contortionists, hand balancers, stilt walkers and more before and during the game.
