Cubs Win! Cubs Win! 10U Boys Claim Club Crown

The Cubs followed up an 8-1 regular season with a pair of one-run victories over the Rockies and Royals to win the Green Hornets 10U club baseball championship.

Players Stephen Bacho, Logan Bal, Brandon Beall, Kevin Bowles, William Bresson, Charles Friedrich, Cole Hogan, Dennis Martini, Chase Martin, Ty Miller, Reilly Miller and Christopher Pagan quickly bonded as teammates, said head coach Jim Miller.

“I am very proud of this group of boys,” said Miller. “We had many new faces on the team this year, and the boys quickly got to know each other and become teammates. It was this cohesiveness that allowed the team to find a way to win the close games down the stretch and ultimately bring them a championship.”

Miller likewise cited the efforts of assistant coaches Jeff Bal, Dennis Martini, Sean Martin and Paul Bresson as central to the team’s success. “The assistant coaches’ willingness to teach and the players’ willingness to learn is the biggest reason for our success this season. …Every player on the team worked hard and improved during the season. This championship was a true team effort, and the boys should be proud of the work and effort that they put in this season.”
