County Fairgrounds, Crownsville
The 73rd annual Anne Arundel County Fair will take place from Wednesday, September 10, to Sunday, September 14, at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds. Attendees can expect entertainment including a carnival, daily shows, music and vendors, as well as various crafts, arts, animals, vegetables and other produce submitted by exhibitors. Annapolis venues
Presented by Rams Head, the Annapolis Songwriters Festival provides music enthusiasts with the opportunity to get acquainted with the faces, voices and stories behind songs. The festival is modeled after the Key West Songwriters Festival, the largest festival of its kind in the world. This year’s Annapolis Songwriters Festival takes place September 11-14, and its lineup contains over 110 artists, including festival headliner Dirty Heads, 10,000 Maniacs, Steep Canyon Rangers and more. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
The Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival is a celebration of the perseverance, education and cultural heritage of Africans, African Americans and Caribbean people of African descent. The theme of this year’s festival is Afrofuturism, and it will take place from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Saturday, September 13, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Sandy Point State Park
The Maryland Seafood Festival will take place from 11:00am-7:00pm on September 13 and 11:00am-6:00pm on September 14, featuring live music, local artisans, kids’ activities, a crab soup cook-off, contests and more. This year’s festival will also include Skipjack Heritage Days, as skipjacks return to Sandy Point for the first time in 35 years. Riviera Beach Community Park
Anne Arundel County will welcome a new music festival this year, located at Riviera Beach Community Park from 11:00am-9:30pm on Saturday, September 20. The full-day outdoor festival will feature a mix of Maryland-born talent, regionally loved acts, and a nationally recognized headliner, along with food trucks, beverages and local vendors. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company, helping fund life-saving equipment, specialized training, and public safety programs that strengthen emergency response across the region. Sandy Point State Park
From September 20-21, baygrass lovers can look forward to nonstop music from 14 national and regional bands and three artists-at-large performing across two alternating stages. Festivalgoers will also have the chance to engage with artists in a more intimate setting during interactive music workshops. In addition to its music, the Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival will offer attendees the chance to savor fresh oysters and locally sourced cuisine; sip on microbrews, craft cocktails and wines; and explore a marketplace full of local craft vendors. Annapolis Sons & Daughters of Italy, Lodge 2225
From 10:00am-3:00pm on September 21, Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America — Annapolis Lodge will host an Italian festival featuring food, entertainment, kids’ activities and artisan shopping. The menu features a variety of Italian meals and desserts. Entry and parking are both free. Proceeds support scholarships and local and national charities such as the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Lung Association, the Anne Arundel County Food Bank and The Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center.
