Green Hornets Travel Baseball Tryouts Announced

The Severna Park Green Hornets baseball travel team tryout season kicks off on Monday, July 12, with the 13U group. Tryout registration for 2021 fall/2022 spring baseball season remains open for age groups 8YO, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U (tryouts for a newly forming 16U team are being coordinated and will announced separately).

For the 2021 fall /2022 spring season, Severna Park baseball anticipates fielding a minimum of two travel teams (Green and White) at each age group. All tryouts will be held at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville.

Quick notes about Severna Park Green Hornets baseball:

  1. Teams compete in league play and tournament play each season.

  2. Teams participate in CBA, MABA and CRAB.

  3. Teams participate in multiple local, in-state and out-of-state tournaments including popular venues such as Ripken (Aberdeen and Myrtle), Sports at the Beach, Hershey, the Baseball Youth Nationals in Myrtle Beach and the Tennessee Nationals.

  4. Severna Park annually sends two 12U teams to Cooperstown Dreams Park.

  5. Teams follow comprehensive training programs including winter workouts, private instruction and clinics.

  6. Severna Park travel baseball boasts experienced head coaches with extensive baseball backgrounds including former D1 collegiate play, former semi-pro play, former professional instructors as well as coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels.

  7. Newly renovated fields with an extensive annual maintenance program.

  8. Severna Park Green Hornets Baseball is the feeder system to Severna Park High School Baseball. The Severna Park Falcons boast a record of three state championships and in the past nine years, six state playoff appearances including one semifinal appearance and four finals appearances.

  9. Severna Park Green Hornets baseball is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers who have a passion for youth sports and baseball. Travel baseball fees paid go directly to fund your player’s baseball experience with no funds ever applied to organization profits, field rentals or coach stipends.
