The Anne Arundel County Board of Appeals will conduct six public hearings in July regarding preliminary plans for a drive-thru-only Chick-fil-A in Arnold.
The appeals come after the county granted preliminary plan approval earlier this year for the construction of a 2,852-square-foot restaurant, along with associated parking and landscaping, as well as conditional approval of modification requests.
Chick-fil-A has sought to construct a drive-thru-only restaurant at 1500 Ritchie Highway, just south of CVS and the Sunoco gas station, for several years. Nearby residents and community members have raised concerns about pedestrian and traffic safety as well as environmental impacts of building a restaurant at that particular location.
The meetings will take place in the council chambers located on the first floor of the Arundel Center, 44 Calvert Street in Annapolis, and are scheduled as follows:
Tuesday, July 1 at 5:00pm
Wednesday, July 2 at 5:00pm
Wednesday, July 9 at 5:00pm
Thursday, July 10 at 5:00pm
Tuesday, July 29 at 5:00pm
Wednesday, July 30 at 5:00pm
