Liam Kinslow Receives Anne Arundel County Sportsmanship Award

In honor of National Sportsmanship Month in March, youth sports organizations are encouraged to recognize an athlete who treats other players, coaches, officials and parents with respect. For Green Hornets basketball, that player is Liam Kinslow.

His 13U head coach, Mark Merolla, said he always seems to be the first person to help anyone off the floor, regardless of what team they play for, and he is quick to encourage teammates during games and practices.

“While that is obviously important, what really impresses me the most about him is how much he exemplifies the term sportsmanship with his respect for the game and playing the right way,” Merolla said. “I am continually impressed by Liam's superior dedication to being the best player and athlete that he can be. At practice, he listens intently during instruction and attempts to replicate what we discuss as closely as possible.”
