Live Arts Maryland Presents “Out Of This World: Susan Gabriel Lights Up Annapolis”

Posted

Known also as The SuzeMuze, Susan Gabriel is set to make her official Maryland debut at Live Arts Studio at Westfield Annapolis Mall on November 4 at 7:30pm.

The singer, writer, storyteller and TV talent will take the audience on a storied musical adventure titled “Out Of This World.” Gabriel plans to offer a playful, and at times poignant, take on life. She opens with American songbook jazz favorites that give way to original songs. Among tunes to be featured is Gabriel’s soon-to-be-released song “Oh Beautiful,” a finalist in the upcoming Sing for Hope Music Video Song Contest, co-sponsored by The My Hero International Film Festival.

Guitarist Bele Beledo and bassist Kevin Walker, a Marylander known for his work with Prince and Justin Timberlake, will engage in the fold of Gabriel’s entertainment and community enrichment. The production emerged from Los Angeles to New York encore performances, evoking a coast-to-coast music arts concert series.

With roots in television (as Susan Drennan Gabriel Bunn), Gabriel went on to create music that has been featured in TV commercials and original community programming. Her career started with CNN and CBS affiliates as a TV anchor and reporter. The creator of a global initiative, ARISE Music Arts Communication, now under the SuzeMuze Studio umbrella, Gabriel is in talks with Annapolis interests to develop integrated performing arts and media content designed to “brighten hearts isolated, one community at a time.”

“This is about small moves, grand in reach from the page to the canvas to the stage,” she said.

While new to the area, Gabriel is a St. John’s College Graduate Institute alum, and she hosts a creative music literary arts student program.
