On September 20, the Magothy River Association (MRA) marked its 80th anniversary with a celebration at the Cape St. Claire Improvement Association’s clubhouse. MRA members and local residents gathered to enjoy dinner with steamed crabs, live music, a 50/50 raffle and more.
Established in 1946, the MRA is a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the water quality, plants and wildlife of the Magothy River and its watershed. The all-volunteer group represents over 300 individual members and 30 community associations. The MRA designs and executes projects that restore and protect the welfare of the river and its watershed. Learn more at www.magothyriver.org.
