Partners In Care Collects Christmas Donations

Posted

The Partners In Care Upscale Resale Boutique is decked out for the holidays. Each year, customers donate thousands of Christmas items; last year alone, holiday donations generated almost $20,000 for Partners In Care.

In addition to the clothing, housewares, jewelry and decor that the boutique normally carries, shoppers will find holiday items throughout the store.

“We accumulate over 250 bins of holiday items during the year,” said Tracey Dill, who added that several storage bins are kept offsite. “After Halloween, we fill the store with Christmas [items] for the next two months and still struggle to get it all out.”

There is plenty to sort and price, but the 85 Partners In Care volunteers are up to the task. The work puts everyone in the holiday spirit.

“We not only keep Christmas items in storage, we also store Easter, Halloween and other holidays,” Dill said. “In addition, we alternate out-of-season clothing items that are just too good to pass on.”

New holiday items are added daily, but they sell fast. Visit the boutique at 8151C Ritchie Highway in Pasadena to find new holiday home decor and gifts.
