Police, Community Come Together For National Night Out

Posted

The heat and humidity did not keep a huge crowd from gathering at the Anne Arundel County Police Eastern District’s National Night Out (NNO) yesterday evening. Intended to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the community, the nationwide event takes place each year on the first Tuesday of August.

Held at Kinder Farm Park, this year’s NNO included many representatives and apparatus from agencies including the Anne Arundel County police and sheriff’s departments, the Maryland State Police, the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company and the Maryland Natural Resources Police. Local businesses, nonprofits, county departments, Scouts and other groups hosted interactive booths for attendees to play games, gather giveaways, and learn about various services and opportunities.
