Each month, the Severna Park Voice poses a question to a local fifth-grade class. This month, students from Ms. DeWalle’s class at Severna Park Elementary School answered the question:
What is your favorite memory from the past five years?
My favorite memory is making new friends.
Mine is probably the first day of fourth grade because I was new to the school and I got to meet a lot of new friends.
The first day of kindergarten when I met a lot of people that soon became my friends.
My favorite memory from my past five years at SPES is when I was an emcee for the 2021 variety show.
Zoo from kindergarten.
When everyone was like "Yay, two weeks of no school," and then that extended into two years of COVID-19.
In third grade, when I moved to Severna Park and I made friends. In the school I was in, I didn't have any friends, so moving here made me feel like I belonged. It helped me become a more social person.
The first day of hybrid school.
All the holiday parties!
My absolute favorite memory was learning I was going back with hybrid this year. I can remember it perfectly. My mom runs toward me, beaming, and yells "Ryenn! You could go back hybrid!" Everything stops. My mind races as I process these thoughts. Me! Going back … hybrid! I am so thrilled to go back hybrid, for my last part of elementary school.
Getting to meet so many new teachers and creating so many amazing friends.
When me, Claire and Isabella all became friends!
My favorite memory was probably the field trips.
Probably going on field trips and playing soccer.
