Santa Plans Visits Around Severna Park

Santa Claus is coming to town for events throughout the greater Severna Park area. Here is a list of appearances featuring photo opportunities, treats, activities and performances that are fun for the whole family. Santa will be joined by Mrs. Claus and the Grinch for some of the festivities.

SEVERNA PARK and MILLERSVILLE

St. John The Evangelist Advent Market Celebration

On November 27, Santa will arrive at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church to meet with kids from 11:00am until 4:00pm at the church’s advent market celebration. Families can also browse religious books, craft vendors and gifts for purchase; enjoy food trucks, hot chocolate and coffee; make advent and Christmas crafts; and enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides and other holiday activities. Chamber Of Commerce Tree Lighting

Santa and the Grinch will be at 1 Holly Avenue from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on December 3 to meet with kids at the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce’s annual tree lighting and open house. Families can take pictures with both Santa and the Grinch using their own cameras at the event. There will also be plenty of entertainment, including a DJ playing Christmas music and dance performances by the Creative Force Dance Center and the Severna Park Dance Studio.

Homestead Gardens Santa Paws Event

Bring your furry friends to the Homestead Gardens’ Severna Park and Davidsonville locations on December 3 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm for an opportunity for pet photos with Santa. The event will benefit the SPCA. Visit www.facebook.com/homesteadgardens for more information.

Kinder Farm Park Jingle Bell Hayrides

Santa and Mrs. Claus will head to Kinder Farm Park in Millersville to meet with kids on December 4 between 10:15am and 12:15pm at the Jingle Bell Hayride. Attendees can also enjoy festive hayrides, snacks and warm drinks; roast marshmallows; and visit the decorated farmhouse. Tickets are $10. Children under 3 gain admission for free but may be asked to ride an accompanying adult’s lap. All children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the hayrides, which are scheduled every half hour throughout the event.

All attendees, including those riding for free, must register at www.kinderfarmpark.org/jbh.html. Registration will close on December 1 or when all hayrides are filled, whichever happens first.

Keller Williams Flagship Of Maryland Welcomes Santa For Photos

Keller Williams Flagship of Maryland in Millersville will host Santa from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on December 4 for a photos with Santa event. Families can register for one of 24 ticket slots for every 30 minutes of the event. The event will be in a festive area outside. Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company’s Lunch With Santa

Santa will participate in Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company’s 2021 lunch with Santa event on December 5 from noon until 2:00pm. Families can bring their own camera to the station or purchase a photo with Santa for $5. Tickets are $5, but children under 2 can attend for free. A lunch with a hot dog, chips and a drink will be provided for each child. Additional food is available for purchase to adults. Early registration is appreciated. Santa On The B&A Trail

On December 11, Santa and his helpers will travel down the B&A Trail to meet with kids and collect nonperishable food for the Anne Arundel Food Bank. Stops and times are tentative due to COVID-19 but are expected to begin at 10:00am with scheduled stops at 10:45am at Jones Station, 11:15am at Hatton Register Green, 11:45am at Robinson Road, 12:15pm at Whites Road, 12:45pm at Earleigh Heights, 1:45pm at the Jumpers Hole shopping center, 2:15pm at the Harundale shopping center and 3:00pm at Sawmill Creek Park. Breakfast And Lunch With Santa Cow At Chick-fil-A

Santa Cow will visit the Severna Park Chick-fil-A from 8:00am until 2:00pm on December 18. A photographer will be at the event for free photos with Santa Cow. ANNAPOLIS

Santa At Westfield Annapolis Mall

Santa will arrive at the Westfield Annapolis Mall’s Crate and Barrel Court on November 12 and will be there for photo opportunities through December 24. Hours can start as early as 10:00am or as late as 2:00pm, depending on the day, and will last until 7:00pm or 8:00pm. Santa will return to the North Pole for Thanksgiving, but will be back at 10:00am on November 26. Guests can purchase packages ranging from $19 to $49 to reserve a spot or to buy digital photos or prints.

Christmas Minis With Santa At The LightBox Studio

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at The Lightbox Studio in Annapolis on November 26 from 8:00am until noon for professional photos with Amy Emery Photography at a Christmas Minis with Santa event. The theme this year is “White Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Claus” and will feature a white backdrop and a 6-foot-tall wreath and decor. The cost is $175 per family and will include a 15-minute session with 10 digital images, a 24-hour turnaround time for photos, an online gallery with unlimited downloads and 50% off Christmas cards.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are fully vaccinated. Only one family will be allowed at the studio at one time, temperatures will be taken at the door and parents are required to wear masks unless they are having their pictures taken. In the event of restrictions limiting sessions or preventing Santa from attending, the retainer can be used toward a “socially distant” Christmas session or a full one-hour session with Amy Emery Photography at a $225 discount. Pet Nights At Westfield Annapolis Mall

Santa will take photos with pets at the Westfield Annapolis Mall’s Crate and Barrel Court on November 29, December 6, December 13 and December 20. People can bring their leashed or caged dogs or cats to the Santa set for pictures from 4:00pm until 8:00pm each day. Guests should use the entrance on top of the green garage and enter and exit down the elevator or escalator to the Santa set. Non-service animals are not permitted outside the photo area.

Children's Theatre Of Annapolis’ Drive-In Movies With Santa

Santa will make an appearance at a drive-in movie event on December 4 in the Children's Theatre of Annapolis parking lot. The parking lot opens at 4:00pm for a showing of “Klaus” at 5:00pm, and at 7:15pm, it opens for a showing of “Jingle Jangle” at 8:00pm. Tickets start at $35 per vehicle per movie for general admission and $50 per vehicle per movie for VIP tickets. Both tickets include photos with Santa, but VIP ticket holders get the first time slots. General admission ticket holders will receive a special DIY picture frame for each child. Westfield Annapolis Mall’s Sensory Santa Events

From 9:30am until 10:30am on December 5 and December 12, the Westfield Annapolis Mall’s Crate and Barrel Court will dim the lights and stop the background music for children with sensory disorders to visit and take photos with Santa. Guests can donate to Autism Speaks online while making an online reservation at www.westfield.com/annapolis/event-detail/visit-santa- or onsite in $1, $5, $10 and keep-the-change increments.

AROUND ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

Homestead Gardens Visits With Santa

Santa will be at the Homestead Gardens Davidsonville location for visits with Santa on November 26. Hours are still being finalized but will be available on the Homestead Gardens event page at www.homesteadgardens.com/upcoming-events and the Homestead Gardens Facebook page at www.facebook.com/homesteadgardens. Guests will also be able to see the train display and decorated trees at the location.

Riviera Beach VFC Santa Runs

Santa will ride in a sleigh pulled by a utility truck from the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company to neighborhoods across Pasadena to hand out candy canes to kids starting in the Fort Smallwood area on November 26. The Santa runs will continue in different areas until December 18 and will start each day at 6:00pm until each planned location has been visited. A make-up day is scheduled for December 19.

Riviera Beach VFC asks anyone who resides on a court to come to the end of their court to allow the fire apparatus with the sleigh to serve those neighborhoods more easily. La Fontaine Bleue Breakfast With Santa

Santa will head to La Fontaine Bleue in Glen Burnie for a breakfast with Santa event on December 4 from 9:00am until 1:00pm. A breakfast buffet and drinks will be provided for guests. The event will also feature a movie corner and crafts, including gingerbread houses for families. Tickets are $34.99 for adults and $12 for children ages 6 to 12. Bella Napoli Restaurant’s Breakfast With Santa Event

Bella Napoli Italian Restaurant will host Santa on December 5 from 9:00am until 11:00am for its 18th Breakfast with Santa. The restaurant will offer breakfast pizza, doughnuts and juice, and each child will get a candy cane from Santa. The event is free for attendees to take their own photos. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped children’s toy for the Kamryn Lambert Foundation’s annual holiday toy drive to benefit local children’s hospitals and children unable to be home for Christmas. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony At Lake Shore Plaza

Santa will come to Lake Shore Plaza in his magic sleigh on December 7 for the Pasadena Business Association’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The event will start at 5:30pm and will also feature a fire apparatus from the Lake Shore and Riviera Beach volunteer fire companies; Christmas carolers; and refreshments. The Christmas tree provided by St. John Properties will be lit at 6:00pm. A rain date is set for December 8. The event is free and open to the public, but guests are encouraged to donate cash or gifts to A Child's Christmas.
