S(o)uper Bowl Fights Food Insecurity

Posted

Good Neighbors Group held its annual S(o)uper Bowl this winter, collecting donations on the weekend of the big game. Totals were still being tallied on the weekend to determine which neighborhood finished with the most donations. This year’s collection was distributed to five local pantries: Anne Arundel County Food Bank, ACAN, Celestial Manna at Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church, My Brother’s Pantry and SPAN. Jeremiah Grossman (pictured) had help from his children, Makenzie and Emerson, as they dropped off their S(o)uper Bowl haul for SPAN. Their neighborhood, Olde Severna Park, collected 444 items this year. Overall, 57 neighborhoods participated in this year’s event.
