SPHS Students Support One Love Foundation

Ashley Faini and Emily Caffiero partnered to sell T-shirts and bracelets during a Severna Park High School football game in October to raise funds for the One Love Foundation as part of their Leadership III project. One Love Foundation works to end relationship abuse.

“I wanted to work with the One Love Foundation as my Leadership III project because I feel that it is an important issue that does not get addressed as much as it should,” Caffiero said. “It is so common in relationships for people around our age (and many others), but I want to help out the problem by educating others and raising awareness for the foundation.”

Faini said she has been working with One Love Foundation for a couple of years.

“Since [relationship abuse] is most common among people around my age, I thought it would be a great opportunity to work with them for my Leadership III project,” she said. “Emily and I decided that we would host a One Love dedicated football game, raise $150 toward the organization, and teach their escalation workshop. All of these things would help us raise awareness in our community.”
