Stars, Stripes and Chow Chili Cookoff

The event features a chili competition between teams from across Maryland. This year’s competitors are M&T Bank, Fuchs NA, MartinFederal, Lori & Myles Team, Baltimore Gas and Electric, WPG Financial Group, Donald Carswell, Linwood Family, Element Fleet and Society of American Military Engineers. The family-friendly event will feature a kid’s zone with engaging activities to keep kids busy, in addition to live music, food, beverages, raffles, a silent auction and more.
 
Guests will cast their vote for “People’s Choice” and “Best Theme,” and an esteemed panel of judges representing each military branch will crown the “Judge’s Choice” champion. All proceeds will benefit The Baltimore Station, an organization supporting individuals, primarily veterans, dealing with homelessness and substance use disorder by providing residential therapy and workforce development programs.
 
In celebration of the fundraiser’s 10th anniversary, tickets will be priced as they were in 2014, the first year of the event. Ticket prices are $40 for adults, $35 for veterans, active duty, and first responders, $20 for young adults ages 11-20, and free for children 10 and under. Special 10th-anniversary pricing will last until October 25th.
