Tides & Tunes Returns June Through August

Posted

The Annapolis Maritime Museum (AMM) will host weekly beachside concerts all summer long. Every Thursday from June 17 to August 19, a different band will take the stage from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the McNasby’s museum campus at 723 Second Street in Annapolis.

“These concerts are even more important this year as the museum provides an opportunity for folks to reconnect after much isolation,” said Alice Estrada, president and CEO of the Annapolis Maritime Museum. “These events are meant to unite community, create a sense of place and to share the mission of the museum.”

Concerts are free, although a $10 donation per person is appreciated. Beer, wine, mixed drinks, and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds raised support the museum’s environmental education programs. The Education Center at AMM teaches more than 12,000 participants annually about Chesapeake Bay ecology and the rich maritime heritage of the Annapolis area and operates out of the museum’s park campus, known as the Ellen O. Moyer Nature Park, located on Edgewood Road in Annapolis.

No coolers or outside alcohol are permitted. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for seating during the concert. First Mate AMM members and above have docking privileges on a first come, first served basis. For membership information or questions, visit www.amaritime.org or call the museum at 410-295-0104, ext. 3. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be canceled at 5:00pm with notification on Facebook.
