Toast Of Severna Park Toastmasters To Host Open House On October 21

Toast of Severna Park Toastmasters invites individuals to its open house to meet members and watch special guest speaker Mansur Hasib talk about the importance of communication skills in today’s world.

“Toast of Severna Park Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” said Geraldine Cvetic, club president for Toastmasters.

After hearing from Hasib, members and guests will enjoy a regular Toastmasters meeting that will include prepared speeches, Table Topics (impromptu speeches) and evaluations.

The open house will include potluck hors d’oeuvres and beverages while guests meet Toastmasters members and other prospective members beginning at 6:30pm.

Cvetic, who has served in various club positions, will be the Table Topics master. “Table Topics are one of my favorite parts of the meeting,” Cvetic said. “This is where guests and members are randomly selected to speak for one to two minutes. It helps you think and speak clearly on your feet.”

Toast of Severna Park Toastmasters meets on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7:00pm at the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce Office at 1 Holly Avenue in Severna Park.
