Continuing a long-standing tradition, the United States Naval Academy (USNA) Glee Club is partnering with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and world-class soloists to present selections from Handel's beloved “Messiah” on this Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Conducted by Aaron Smith, USNA director of musical activities, this concert has been broadcast on public television stations nationwide.

Join the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and 70 world-class musicians as they bring the joy, beauty and warmth of the holidays to life with a dazzling mix of classic carols and heartwarming holiday tunes. Native Annapolitan soprano Katherine Sanford Schrock is this year’s guest artist, and she will help her fellow musicians usher in the holiday season. She returns to Annapolis at the height of her successful career as an opera singer and concert vocalist.
“Holiday Pops” will include a singalong, with conductor José-Luis Novo leading the orchestra, Sanford Schrock leading the crowd, and a visit from Santa. The ASO will perform a Duke Ellington jazz arrangement of the ‘Nutcracker’ overture, a fun and interesting twist to this holiday favorite.

A family tradition for Anne Arundel County audiences, “A Jolly Holiday” features Rudolph, Frosty, Santa, dancing bears and elves as part of an evening of music and holiday spirit. From classic carols to contemporary favorites, the production promises a mix of joyful tunes, delightful dance numbers and colorful sets including a magical toy room that comes to life.
