Our Spring Local Fun Festival was held on May 2 at Park Plaza and featured over 70 exhibitors and many wonderful sponsors! We had eight gold sponsors who donated funds to their charities of choice at the event, as follows:

- The Severna Park Voice donated $3,000 to the Walk the Walk Foundation
What a great reminder of the importance of supporting our local small businesses, which we can count on to donate to local charities, back our fundraisers, and step up when it counts. Supporting them isn’t just shopping locally - it is by extension supporting charities that serve our communities.
We had four ribbon-cutting celebrations in May. First was the opening of the Severna Park Farmers Market, which featured several new vendors. Then we cut the ribbon on the new Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Severna Park. This was followed by an evening of dancing with their professional instructors.
Next, we celebrated the grand opening of FS8 in Severna Park. This woman-owned business fuses Pilates, tone and yoga into one workout. Finally, we celebrated the grand opening of Muñoz Estates and Trusts’ new, beautiful location in Severna Park.
Our Successful Women in Business coffee was held at Wish List Boutique in Severna Park. We enjoyed coffee, conversation and shopping the great clothing selection.
The annual Independence Day parade is next month, and we are still accepting applications and sponsorships to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country. Please visit our website for more information and an application if you plan to participate.
