Oak Hill Candy Gram Fundraiser Supports Backpack Buddies Program

Posted

Pat Anderson’s second-grade class at Oak Hill Elementary School raised $4,552 by selling candy grams in December to raise money for the Services from the Heart Backpack Buddies program. The class of 23 students assembled and sold candy grams using 3,200 candy canes and presented a check for the funds raised to Services from the Heart founder Donna Wilson-Johnston in December. The donation will be used to purchase food to fill weekly meal bags for the 120 food-insecure elementary school children served by Services from the Heart each week during the school year.
