Paris Baguette Prepares For Park Plaza Opening This Summer

Paris Baguette franchise owner Pratik Patel has selected the Park Plaza shopping center as the site for the newest neighborhood bakery-style café in the greater Baltimore metropolitan region. The entrepreneur, who also owns and operates several Big Chicken and Marble Slab Creamery franchises locally, signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 2,889 square feet of space at the nearly 185,000-square-foot shopping center, with intentions to become operational this summer.

Patel also owns a Paris Baguette in Towson, and four cafés operated by different owners are open throughout the local region. CRC Senior Commercial Leasing Associate Paul Weinberg represented the landlord and John Rosso of Rosso Commercial represented the tenant in this transaction.

“Bringing Paris Baguette to Park Plaza adds something special to the center’s mix of dining and everyday destinations while giving the Severna Park community another place to gather,” said Kristina O’Keefe, senior vice president of retail operations at Continental Realty Corporation. “With its freshly made pastries, desserts, sandwiches and gourmet beverages, Paris Baguette offers the kind of experience that keeps people coming back. Welcoming a fast-growing brand like Paris Baguette reflects CRC’s focus on creating vibrant retail environments that meet local needs.”

Paris Baguette specializes in creating cakes, doughnuts, croissants, pastries, tarts and other menu items including quiches and croquettes. The brand is also known for its handcrafted gourmet breakfast and lunch sandwiches, grilled chicken Caesar salads, and assortment of breads including raisin, milk, soft cream, and multi-grain varieties. Hot drink options include Lavazza coffees, lattes and teas, with iced beverages featuring cold brew coffees and iced teas. Paris Baguette also markets frozen beverage options such as frappes and smoothies.

“The Paris Baguette brand showcases value and upscale products to the customer,” explained Patel, a 20-year veteran of the food and beverage industry. “Our Towson-area store is outperforming expectations, and we targeted Severna Park because this specialty category is underserved in the community. Park Plaza features several national tenants including Planet Fitness and has a strong nightlife, which complements our operations.”
