Sports, Snacks And The Spirit Of A Champion

Posted

St. John Athletic Association is welcoming the community to an evening of fellowship, where attendees will workshop how to harness the spirit of a champion as it relates to coaching in youth sports, with special guest speaker Mark Viviano. The event is set for November 4 from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the school auditorium.

The athletic department at St. John follows the Play Like a Champion model of coaching in which the goodness of sports is sought after. In this model, coaches can augment the X's and O's aspects of coaching by incorporating a strategy to help athletes strive to be champions through goal setting, responsibility and ownership.
