Over the last 14 years, the St. Jude Zumbathon has raised more than $168,000 for the children and families receiving care and help from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is based in Tennessee and has eight affiliate clinics across the country. This year’s Maryland event returns to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company on Sunday, June 7, from 10:00am-12:30pm.
Seventeen instructors will get people moving during the Zumabathon, which will also offer raffles, door prizes, music from a live DJ, and more. Natalie Haskell from Work It With Natalie is again serving as the event organizer. This year’s fundraising goal is $200,000, and Haskell hopes that those efforts ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $30 for VIP (first three rows). For more details, visit the event Facebook page or St. Jude website.
