Providence of Maryland, a nonprofit organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and board chair F.P. “Rick” Hunsicker have welcomed Patricia Baldwin and retired Colonel William Doukas to Providence’s board of directors.
Patricia Baldwin is the treasurer for and part owner of Reliable Contracting Co. Inc. in Millersville. Prior to her position at Reliable, she was a real estate developer and manager for commercial and residential properties in Anne Arundel County. Her past experience on boards include the Chesapeake Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, the corporate board of the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation, West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, the Catholic Community Foundation and the advisory board for Truist. She received her undergraduate degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola College in Baltimore.
Bill Doukas has had an illustrious career which includes practicing surgeon, assistant professor of surgery at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a board examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, chair of the Integrated Department of Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation at the National Naval Medical Center/Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and a colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He has published numerous papers and journal articles and has received many military awards. Bill graduated from the University of Colorado and received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda.

Tricia and Bill will be an asset to our board and organization as we strive to provide the best services and support to people and our community.”
In response to her appointment, Baldwin said, “Providence has meant so much to my family, from the early days when my parents, Tom and Peggy Baldwin, helped to start this organization through the many years Providence has supported and continues to support citizens like my brother, to live their best lives. I am excited to join the Providence board, and look forward to helping to advance our mission, now, and in the years to come.”
Doukas said, “I am very honored and excited to be invited to join the board of directors at Providence. My wife, Cindy, and I are so grateful for all that the organization, leadership, and staff do for our son and all the other people fortunate to be part of this great program. We cherish the services and opportunities that Providence provides, and I look forward to serving on the board.”
