Wild Family Golf Tournament Raises $20,000 For Students

Posted

The Wild family has made their annual $20,000 donation to the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County to support the Herzberg/Wild $10,000 scholarships. Each year, the scholarships are given to two deserving Anne Arundel County students who demonstrate qualities valued in the U.S. Marine Corps — such as honor, courage and commitment — along with their ability to persist in the face of significant personal obstacles. The memorial scholarships honor Lance Corporals Eric Herzberg and Taylor Wild, both Severna Park High School graduates.

On the first Saturday of November, the Wild family hosts an annual golf tournament at Compass Pointe Golf Courses in Pasadena. This year, 252 golfers participated in the fundraiser to honor Taylor. Both Glory Days Grill and Adam’s Taphouse and Grille provided food for everyone while G&G Outfitters, Severna Park Taphouse, BGE, Annapolis Gelcoat and Restoration, TIPCO Technologies Inc. and McFadden Coaching sponsored drink carts to keep the golfers hydrated. The Wild family is thankful to everyone who supported the tournament and keeps Taylor’s memory close to their hearts.
